UFC 121: Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez

Everyone has their bets on the defending champ Brock Lesnar. The once wrestling star moved into MMA and quickly dominated the top fighters in the league. Many Lesnar fans put their money on cain losing the fight. Brock with a record of 5 wins and 1 loss only ever losing to a submission that he claims was a fluke. Everyone thought Brock has the perfect blue print to dominate the heavy weight title. Further more, Cain being the lighter, shorter fighter put on a clinic for the crowed in the honda center. He showed everyone why he has no loses displaying great striking and wrestling skills.

Eearly in the fight Brock realised he was losing the stand up and getting tired, he then performs the take down. This move is seen a lot in Brocks fights, he tends to try to ground in pound when all else fails. Brock did get a chance to pass his guard or throw punches, but Cain shows off his skills and shoves brock off of him with his superior Guard. After this point Cain shifts gears and stops all take down attemps by the wrestling champ. He performs two beautifull take downs on the heavier wrestler Lesnar. He rocks lesnar with punches and a nice knee in the clinch and finishes Lesnar off with ground and pound.

It was almost funny to see the bigger bully being trown around like a rag doll. Cain claims he did not hear the mexican chants or Brock Lesnar attempting to verbaly tap out. Cain had only one goal in mind, to be the first mexican heavy weight champion ever in a boxing or MMA league!!! Congrats to Velasquez he cained Lesnar!!!

(ADVANCED) kinect boxing tips

Boxing advanced tips, tricks, FAQ.

Advanced punching kinect sports. Once you have the "big" punches and "small punches" mastered (see earlier tips if not). there are a few advantages you should know for each type of punch.

NOTE1: at the start of the game at sign in theres a square that shows your good possition.. listen to it! if you are too close to the kinect your arms seems to go outside that square and wont reach the other guy... NOTE 2: do NOT put your arms behind your back if you are about to punch or else it wont punch right.

(This part of the guide is assuming you are a right hand fighter. if you are south paw simply imagine all the rights as left and lefts as right.)

Left hand punches: typically you will not do much damage with the left hand. In a boxing stance usually your left shoulder should be ahead taking away power. typically a not so loud "pop" sound.

Left Jab: punch with not much power not pushing back the enemy but simply getting a point and part of a bigger combo. evne though the jab is weak you can throw as many as you want befor doing a big punch with the right hand.

Left hook: typically a bit slower the the jab but still good to set up combos. similar to the jab.

Left uppercut: also a slower punch then the jab and basically the same as the left hook damage and speed wise. Its mostly used for a flashy KO at the end if you can land an upper cut it will daze the enemy in a dead man walking way.

Right punches: typically the strongest punches and the Knock out punch. A bit right hand punch has a "Pow" sound.

Straight right cross: This punch is probably the strongest punch or should be for most. the advantages of the right cross is its speed you can easly go from blocking to a right cross punch, this is great stunning spammers. If you knock out a person with a right cross they fall on their backs for a decent flashy KO or knock down. normal knock back time to the enemy when they get hit.

Right hook: This punch is basically the same as the right cross with one main difference. When you hit a person with a BIG right hook they get knocked back. BUT they acutally come back faster allowing you to hit then with many big right hooks in a row. this throws off the rythm and can catch your enemy off guard not realising they are back in the fight so soon after being hit. When koed by right hooks it lays the person down throwing them to one side. decently flashy KO and can be brutal looking.

Right uppercut: This punch is the hardest do land and works differently then all the other punches. If you want to perform a right upper cut you actually need to do a small squat then you puh yourself up againststraight while throwing a upper cut. This knock back is about as long as the right cross. When koed by Right upper cut with a big uppercut it launches whips their heads back launching them into the air for a VERY flashy KO. this is my favorite finishing move. I will acutally jump my feet leaving the ground when i throw this upper cut as the finishing move. it will show up in the replay you see your avatar jump. probably the flashiest KO you can get.


The ropes: not many realise it but if you can keep hitting your opponent with 1 big hit punches and you manage to push them against the ropes. The ropes acutally reducec your push back time too. So you can do big punches faster since they get come back faster. this can play a part in confusing your enemy but also can confuse the attacker if he does not know they come back faster. this is an advantage from being a vert agressive fighter. combine with hooks for even faster big punch possibility.

COMBOS:

5 punch/jab stun: This is one i like to use i found it myself and my jabs are best for this. basicalyl if you can land 5 good decently strong jabs on the persons stomach or face in a row without getting hit yourself you can stun the enemy. this can also apply to other punches like small hooks and uppercuts instead of jabs and it has to be Fast and hard good hits trying to move your left shoulder back. typically this combo works on a person that blocks their face all the time. the 5 hits seem to be the minimum needed to stun a person without using blocking. the best way to assure the stun is end the 6th or 5th punch with a BIG punch a right punch.

3 punch win: basically if you face a spammer if you get 3 power ups dealing the most damage simply do one big right punch to stun them. Then while they are stunned if they keep punching just block those get another 3 power ups. then wait till they are back to normal and stun them again. by then they are just about dead HP wise and probably still spamming punches so repeat 3 power ups sun and they should be dropped by the 3rd stun. 3 punch win.

Strategies:

Anti spam technique 1: blocking is the best anti spam weapon.

Anti spam technique 2: less effective at times but keep them away by simply doing one big punch landing it befor the spammer. this wont assure you knock them down 3 times in a round.

Anti spam technique 3: if you start the game and you see the enemys aarms flalling like crazy then you are almost 99% sure they are spammers.. block stun and stun them if they keep going its a easy win for you.


Anti blocking technique 1: if you face a book blocker and you are also a good blocker that does not spam chances are you are going the 3 rounds. In this case you want to win with POINTS. You need to look at your enemys block and punch right when they move their block with only one big punch at a time. If he gets 1 power up dont hit him again till its gone Or if you are good just keep him back with 1 big punch over and over.

Anti blocking technique 2: if you are facing a good blocker simply try to land quick punches for points again and wait for his reply if he strikes back. usually people have a typical combo they like to stick to so you should learn this or try. Basically the goal is to get points and the KEY is to frustrate the enemy. knowing hey are behind on points should force them to attack your block. no need to rush if you are ahead in points just relax. If they dont do anything then its a easy ish win for you.

Blocking tips 1: you can hear where you are being punches by the sound of the punches. the stomach punches are deeper sounds and the face is high pitched sounds. you should also keep looking at your health bar. if you are bnlocking your face and your health goes down it means you need to block your stomach and this repeats non stop.

Blocking tips 2: You can dominate just about any fight with blocking. blocking allows you to attack better acutally. There are two options either they spam giving you free power ups then its a quick match. if they realise you block great and start blocking then thats perfect you can just play with them hitting them with any combo and big punch you want. if they try to defend by fighting back then block again get the power ups and show him who is the boss. 99% of the time the better blocker will win.

You got stunned tip 1: the reason you got stunned is either you got hit by a big combo you failed at blocking OR you failed at attacking and was punching your enemies block. Eitehr way you need to BLOCK and only BLOCK till you get power ups again. Listen to the punches and look at yuor health for a guide to where you are being hit. I manage to survive 75% of the time mostly if the enemy is not that good. While in stun you do no damage but your punches will still give the enemy power ups.. If you can survive the storm usually the enemy keeps punching even while you are back to normal. thats your chance to get power ups and stunning them right back knocking them down instead..

(BASIC) Kinect boxing Tips and Tricks.

You have two types of basic punches. small punches and big punches. small punches are when you only move your arm. you know you did a normal punch if you hit the

pesron and it did not knock them back.

to do a big punch you need to bring your shoulder back befor you punch. you know when you did a big punch when it knocks the opponent back
Now that you know the types of punches. you can stun the opponent with 1-3 power ups. keep in mind doing a normal punch will simply waste the power ups unless you follow it up with a hard punch.

to stun with 1 power up you need to do a 1-2 combo JAB then right cross. make sure you bring your shoulder back for the jab so its a hard jab then a hard right cross the combo usually stuns.

to stun with 2 power ups you only need one big punch like a right cross.

to stun with 3 power ups its too easy again it only takes one big punch.

Finally if you stand in a real boxing stance your "power arm" in this case the right arm should back cocked back in your stance already. so everytime you do a right punch it SHOULD be a big punch. Having a propper boxing stance reduces punch wind up time. since you are already cocked back, the INSTANT you hear 2-3 power ups. let loose the MIGHTY RIGHT CROSS.

Note: right cross refers to a straight right punch. similar to a jab but with good technique is more powerfull. more often then not the right cross is a boxers strongest punch irl and in this game.

Kinect sports a game made for the Kinect Sensor has released world records! This means everyone with Kinect Sports and Xbox Live get a chance at setting a new world record!!

All the records are set by real people. Everyone will have their own sports and mini games they are best at, making the world records quite fun to try. Keep in mind they are quite the challenge to beat. The records are the best scores ever set by kinect users around the world. Some people might even forget they are working out while they play!

Maple syrup new health discoveries!

The Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers is pleased to report on two new scientific discoveries which show that Canadian maple syrup can be good for you. These studies build on recent findings on the nutritional value of maple products, which have revealed both the antioxidant properties of maple syrup as well as the discovery of substantial quantities of abscisic acid. Abscisic acid is a phytohormone known to stimulate insulin release through pancreatic cells and to increase sensitivity of fat cells to insulin, which makes it a potent weapon against metabolic syndrome and diabetes.

The first of these new discoveries comes from the work of renowned American
researcher Navindra Seeram from the University of Rhode Island. He has found 13 new antioxidant compounds which were not known to exist in syrup until now. Published reports have documented the anti-cancer, antibacterial and anti- diabetic properties of these antioxidant compounds. Dr Seeram, who was named 2009 Young Scientist of the Year by the American Chemical Society (ACS), presented his findings on Canadian maple syrup at the ACS Annual Meeting in San Francisco.

The second discovery

The second new discovery comes from findings in the article "Antioxidant Activity,
Inhibition of Nitric Oxide Overproduction, and In Vitro Antiproliferative Effect of Maple Sap and Syrup from Acer Saccharum" published in the recent edition of the Journal of Medicinal Food. Cell models suggest that maple syrup can substantially slow the growth of cancerous cells in the prostate and lungs and to a lesser extent in the breast, colon and brain. In addition, it would seem that they do this more effectively than blueberries, broccoli, tomatoes and carrots. These findings are a milestone in maple research as they represent the first indication that the compounds found in maple syrup such as the antioxidant compounds found by Dr Seeram can have real physiological benefits to our health. These conclusive findings call for further research on Quebec and Canadian maple products.

 The main thing is that Kinect offers a controller-free gaming and entertainment experience. You are able to control the kinect games without ever touching a conroller. Instead, your own body is the controller! All those hours spent infront of the screen will acutally pay off by burning calories and working the bodies muscles instead of only your fingers.

With over 8 million kinects sold in the first 60 days, I can say i contributed to one of those. Ever since i bought my kinect i have loved it. I have also lost wieght and toned muscles playing my favorite game, Kinect Sports

With 5 major events and a ton of mini games, you get a good selection of work outs. If you want a good upper body work out you have games like my favorite Kinect Sports
! you also have events like track and field for high intensity lower body work outs. This offers multi player and many mini games that will tire out even the fitess people!

If you are more about casual gaming you could consider sports like table tenis and bowling. those also have a very large menu to choose from.

I would highly recommend this consol to everyone!!! even on a raining day you could bring the kinect out and workout while having fun!
